Our Profile (MCBS Congregation)
MCBS Congregation is a Catholic community of Religious Priests working all over the world for the building up of the Kingdom of God. It serves the humanity by encountering the image of Christ in the last, the least and the lost of the society. It was founded on 7th May, 1933 in Kerala and now has its presence all over the world. It has become one of the fastest-growing Catholic Religious congregations for men by attracting many enthusiastic and dedicated young men to its fold. There are 550 Fathers working in different parts of the world by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus and serving the humanity. MCBS Generalate is in Aluva, Kerala and the three Provincial Headquarters are in Kottayam, Calicut and Ernakulam
MCBS fathers do work mostly in the villages of Asia, Africa, and South America. The members of the community are also a service in many European and North American countries as well as in Australia. They are serving the people of God who are driven to the peripheries of society. Its Charism is lived by taking care of the AIDS patients, mentally retarded children, street children, beggars and by establishing village schoolsand hostels where free and quality education is ensured to the students. It tries to live up to the expectation of the One, Who commanded them to love one another unbiased. The goal of its Educational involvement is to provide excellent education anchoring on character formation to every child who comes to our school.
General Information
St. Diminic Savio CBSE School, Diphu is a catholic institution managed by the MCBS Zion Province, Calicut, Kerala, popularly known as ‘MCBS’ fathers. The School is established in 2010 under the initiation of MCBS fathers in the North East Mission. And it runs classes from Kindergarten and looking forward up to Higher Secondary in future. St. Dominic Savio is the patron of SDS School. Convinced of teaching, we realize our role and responsibility in leading our students, teachers and parents towards an integrated education and human growth. It is said, “Education of the heart is the heart of education”. We realize the need for the transformation of the whole person through an integrated education and cultural enhancement. Thus, this institution tries to provide facilities not only for studies but also for games, sports as well as a variety of extra-curricular and co- curricular activities and above all personal growth and individual transformation. In spite of all the activities, constant encouragement is given to the students to take part in all these activities.
